They ensure that the facts on paper align with the reality on the ground. For example, if you're building a fence, it's important to make sure it's placed within your property line. Otherwise, your neighbor could tear it down. To do this, you’d hire a surveyor, who will examine the property records and pinpoint the exact location of the boundary. Alternatively, if you're developing a new shopping complex, you’ve purchased the land and designed the layout for buildings, roads, and parking areas. At this stage, you'll need a surveyor to take your plans and mark the exact locations on the ground so construction can proceed accurately.
