As a first-time buyer, how should I choose a realtor?

I’m a younger guy looking to buy a house in Texas sometime next year. How should I go about finding a realtor?

The best way to find a realtor is through a referral from someone you trust who has worked with them. In my case, I chose one of the two most active agents in my desired area. I attended an open house he was hosting to meet him and get a feel for his approach. We’re still friends to this day.
