Is it worth hiring a property management company for just one unit?

My husband and I are thinking of renting out our place, but we're contemplating whether we should go through a property management company or do it ourselves.

Hiring a good and professional property management company always makes your job easy, everything from tenant screening to maintenance is taken care by them.

No, 1 unit is little work. Wait until you're up to about 16+ units before getting management. It will completely depend on how much free time you have to manage the properties versus how much you're willing to spend.
