The company was founded in 2000 by Michael Cortez as Gemological Services of Southern California and expanded into World Gemological Services to serve an international clientele; World Gemological Services uses cutting-edge equipment, current evaluation techniques, and proprietary in-house software to deliver accurate, confidential appraisals and focuses on excellent customer service from its Newport Beach and Solvang locations.
