Tarrant Appraisal District is a political subdivision of the State of Texas (created January 1, 1980) responsible for local property tax appraisal and exemption administration across 73 taxing jurisdictions in Tarrant County; Tarrant Appraisal District manages property valuation for residential, commercial, mineral and personal property, administers homestead and other exemptions, provides forms and data resources (including an interactive map and downloadable reports), supports taxpayers with online account management and protest processes, and is governed by a board of directors with a Chief Appraiser who oversees appraisal operations in accordance with the Texas Property Tax Code.
