Portland Art Museum

The Portland Art Museum is one of the oldest art museums in the United States, founded in 1892, and serves as a vital cultural anchor in Portland, Oregon. Located at 1219 SW Park Avenue, the museum is dedicated to presenting exceptional exhibitions, stewarding an expansive collection, and engaging the community through educational programs, film, and multidisciplinary experiences. The organization emphasizes accessibility, learning, and connection by offering diverse opportunities, from exhibitions and screenings to classes, camps, and community programs. With its ongoing campus transformation set to open in November 2025, the museum is expanding its facilities to enhance accessibility, create new galleries, and foster deeper community involvement. Recognizing the Indigenous peoples whose ancestral lands it occupies, the Portland Art Museum honors its responsibility to serve as a respectful, inclusive, and dynamic cultural institution that champions creativity and lifelong learning.
