HKIT Architects

HKIT Architects is a long-established Bay Area architecture firm, in continuous practice since 1948, that focuses on designing projects which enrich communities and the environment through beautiful, functional, and sustainable spaces. The company maintains an approximately 60-person professional staff, allowing HKIT Architects to combine the specialization and client attentiveness of a small firm with the resources, technical depth, and flexibility of a larger practice. The firm emphasizes responsive client service and has built many multi-decade relationships by centering design on each client’s requirements, site, budget, and community context, producing work that is sensitive to neighbors, highly functional, and able to resolve complex sites. HKIT Architects is recognized for award-winning schools, churches, and multifamily, student, and senior housing across the Bay Area and California, and operates with a strong commitment to integrated technology, sustainable design, and collaborative relationships with consultants and maintenance staff to deliver durable, energy-efficient buildings that support long-term community well-being.
