Formative Architecture

Formative Architecture is an Albuquerque-based architecture and design firm delivering thoughtful, modern work across New Mexico and the broader Southwest. We focus on sustainable, high-performance design that minimizes environmental impact while connecting people to place. The company approaches each project with intentional, well-crafted solutions that respect construction methods and fabrication, exemplified by award-winning work like the Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. We bring a fresh, energetic perspective influenced by the region’s landscapes to create buildings that positively shape and inspire communities.
