Dallas Central Appraisal District (DCAD) is the political subdivision of the State of Texas responsible for appraising real and business personal property for ad valorem tax assessment on behalf of 61 local governing bodies in Dallas County. The company establishes and maintains accurate property values in accordance with the Texas Property Tax Code, provides public information and tools such as appraisal searches, maps, exemption forms, protest and informal review guidance, and certified value reports, and operates its public office Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
