About Company

Chiaroscura is an architecture and design practice based in Jersey City that crafts architecture, interiors, exhibition design and arts-cultural spaces by orchestrating light and shadow to create sensory, sculptural environments; Chiaroscura combines design research, site-specific installations, interior style work and collaborations with skilled craftspeople to deliver projects ranging from artist studios and galleries to museum commissions and residential architecture, and the company is led by founder and Artistic Director Archana Kushe, who brings experience from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill as well as teaching at Pratt Institute.
