Underground Specialists, Inc. is a Brookfield, Wisconsin–based underground utility contractor that provides directional drilling, trenching, vacuum (hydro) excavation, backhoe work, pipe bursting, light pole and site-lighting installations, geothermal loop installations, bluff drainage/stabilization and related services for commercial, residential and public-utility projects across southeastern Wisconsin. The company combines more than 20 years of field experience with licensed, OSHA-compliant crews, in-house technical expertise (including butt fusion and electrofusion) and specialized equipment to deliver low-impact residential work and large-scale commercial and fiber/duct installations. Underground Specialists, Inc. was founded in 2000 by Scott Kandziora and Jerry Peterson, has grown into a multi-crew operation serving counties from Milwaukee to Madison, and participates in industry organizations such as the Wisconsin Excavators & Graders Association, Associated Builders and Contractors and NFIB.
