About Company

Life Asset is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit founded in 2011 that provides microloans, training, mentoring, and networked peer support to underserved entrepreneurs in the Greater Washington, D.C. area. Life Asset uses a social-collateral lending model to make small, affordable business loans to applicants who may not qualify at traditional banks, reports repayment activity to credit bureaus to help build credit, and offers free weekly trainings and one-on-one coaching in English, Spanish, and French to help entrepreneurs grow sustainable businesses. Life Asset has supported more than 1,500 business owners with financing and capacity-building services focused on financial inclusion, community impact, and long-term small business success.
