Employment Connection (Employment Connection of St. Louis) is a nonprofit founded in 1977 that breaks down barriers to self-sufficiency by providing job training, placement, and wraparound support for individuals with limited opportunities — including the homeless, justice-involved individuals, veterans, high-school dropouts, and families on public assistance. Employment Connection offers free work-readiness classes (World of Work), career services, Ticket to Work support, green workforce/solar training, housing and eviction-prevention assistance, managed work services for employer placements, and ongoing case management to help clients gain and retain employment while reducing recidivism and building a safer, stronger community.
